Happy Thanksgiving!

I hope everyone is having a wonderful day with their friends and family! We have so much to be thankful for this year! What a wonderful year it has been and next year is going to be just as exciting and beautiful.

I’ll have to say though, this morning I was thankful that Justin got up at 5am to settle Sam back down and give her a bottle so she would sleep until 7:45am. HEE! Although now I don’t think I can give her a nap until at least 1:30 which means she will get a very short nap since we were pushing it anyway for going to Thanksgiving dinner… Argk! hehe – Oh well. The good news is that she won’t be cranky with all those people to play with! And we can put her to bed early! Talk about thankful 😉 haha

I also went to see the Marvin Twins, ok AND Krysta & Brett, on Tuesday. Of course, Sam was still acting a little crazy after her wonderful weekend with the Grandma’s so I walked out of the house without my camera. Yes, I did! LOL! Charlotte & Raechelle are sooo cute though. Charlotte has this beautiful dark blonde hair, chubby cheeks, and cute nose. She sleeps peacefully though everything but SMILES tons of times in her sleep! Raechelle has little whisps of dark hair and is smaller. Her facial features actually remind me a bit of Sam at that young age, she is really beautiful too. She doesn’t sleep, is always looking around and spouting off her opinion. LOL – She also likes to play possum pretending to be falling asleep, waiting until the moment you get all proud of yourself thinking you put her to sleep, to have her eyes pop open and spout off some nonsensical baby cry or squack. To funny.

Krysta & Brett have been attacked by baby stuff. Ahhh, I remember that well. Everywhere you look in their bedroom is covered by baby changing stations, feeding charts on the wall, diapers and clothes on the dresser, and the pack n play in the corner. As you see them going around though their routine is already so set in place! They make it look easy! And it’s twins!

I’m actually terrified now of having two. When we were over there, Sam saw all her old toys (swing and jumperoo) and wanted to go IN them. So I put her in the jumperoo (so silly) and she wanted in, and she wanted out, then back in… and I was holding this sweet baby that I had to put down, tend to Sam, pick back up, put back down, tend to Sam… HOLY COW! I’m sure it won’t be like that all the time, we were in a new place so it was exciting to her, but YIKES! I’m definitely investing in a sling this time around. This baby will simply have to be attached to my hip and we will be on-the-go all the time, I’m sure! LOL – Fun times.

Well, Sam is watching Elmo right now. Since Justin has a long weekend I said I wanted to sleep in one of the days! He said I could sleep in TWO, LOL, but I was going to sleep in this morning since I wouldn’t take a nap in the afternoon…. but since he took the 5am waking and she slept in so LATE… I actually woke up before Sam did and figured, eh, I’m up and I’d rather fool around on the computer while I put on Elmo. 🙂 So I kind of did sleep in… I’m an early bird (comparitively) anyway. I need to remind myself to turn on the Thanksgiving Day parade after this though while we cook breakfast.

Sharon & Truck are heading up to the Big Bear cabin today for the weekend. Hopefully it is still standing since we haven’t been there in about 6 months. haha 🙂 It will be nice for that beautiful cabin to get some use though!

Again, I hope everyone has a wonderful day and holiday weekend if you have it off!
