Summer Fun

As I mentioned in my last post we were having a busy week. It’s been very busy! LOL

Thursday: Our park playdate was lots of fun. Sam’s little friend is having a birthday in September and is invited to her party in late August. A craft party apparently, woohoo! As long as I’m not putting together the crafts (or cleaning up? LOL) I’m happy! There is also the sweetest little girl at Gymboree who is so outspoken and cute and LOVES running around with Sam (really, anyone) but Sam and her have a great time together. She is about to be a big sister (in about a week) but I stuck my neck out and asked her Dad (who accompanies her) if he would be interested in a playdate and he thought that would be fun. We shall see if it happens. I did good all by myself putting the kids down, whew. Sam just watched a movie through Griffin’s bottle, etc and then I snuggled with Sam a bit.

Friday: Dance class and Waterpark Fun!!! So cute 🙂 Sam is doing great at Dance class and I found out they are going to start practicing for a recital!!! How cute is that? Here are my Mom’s pics!

And guess what I have!?!?! VIDEOS!! YES! (My computer is almost running out of room for pics and videos good thing I got that internal CD burner thingy! Although the bad news is that it is a drive thingy with no cords, installation CDs, or instructions… Daaaavvvve if you are reading this HEWP ME! 🙂

Hysterical, I tell you.

Then we jetted over to Ladera Ranch for WATERPARK FUN! The ‘main’ waterpark was closed so we went to a ‘little’ water park with water thingies and such. Sam loved it this time, much more so than the week before when we went to anther water/sprinkler park thingy. She just needs time getting used to stuff…

It was so fun though, Krysta and the twins were there, Heather (Krysta’s friend from her twin Mom’s club) was there with HER cute twins, Drew came down with Brayden B, and Nicole and Mike were there to round off the group! (Yes, we have told them they need kids already – haha)

G just hung out under the table in the shade for at least over an hour and a half! Craziness, that child is so laid back and sweet. Everyone had a grand old time, can’t wait to do it again!

So, Sam talked to herself for over an hour during her ‘quiet time’ later that day and when I was finally going up to get her around 515, I realized she had stopped talking and went to sleep. Whoops. So we got her up when J came home – after about an hour and she was in SUCH a bad mood. Oh well. She went to bed a little late, and so did G because he had a late nap too.

Saturday: Everyone woke up late (thank god, since ‘late’ is like 7:15 – Ok, J slept in cause he was tired from his trip) but Sam took off with Grandma Nana & Truck to the TRAIN and went down to Zoomars! Then, we took little G over to Grandma JJ to babysit while we went to see a MOVIE!!!!

Can you tell how thrilled I was with this? I obviously need to find more babysitters… LOL

Dark Knight was great, btw.

So, we get home and then Sam comes home around 4pm cause their train was late. We put her down and she stops talking to herself around 5 again. Oops. Late naps.. yikes. G had some crappety naps too, his third nap was only a half nap and was interrupted three times… So we decide on dinner, etc.

I decide to put G down 30min early and while I’m putting him down, J goes to wake up Sam. OMG, she would not wake up. 🙂 LOL – He didn’t shake her or anything, but oh no! 🙂

So it’s 930 and both kids are… still… asleep. G woke up after 45min and I gave him another ounce of the rest of his bottle and he went back down. Weird. Anyway.

I told J that he WOULD be helping me when both of these kids were up at 5pm. We shall see what happens, right?

And J mentioned going to Disneyland tomorrow. We are crazy.

I should go to bed! Just finished pumping and since I missed a session today while G was with Grandma, I pumped crazy ounces! I loved that! Enough for tomorrow night and a little left over to save.

xoxo

Sounds like you have been really busy. I can’t wait for Abby to do fun dance classes like Sam. Too cute.I read that you are pumping. Is that just for night feedings or so baby G can feed when you need a babysitter? I was just curious. I am going to start some sort of a schedule with Abby now that she is 2 months old.
