So, not much progress!! The nurse, Michelle, said I’m 2 dilated and when I asked about effacement she said not much progress as Dr Fee put down 50% last time, she would say I’m about 60%.
I am however measuring 38 weeks on my tummy instead of last week’s measurement of 36 weeks! Whoa! 🙂 She said that babies tend to drop later, or at the very end, for 2nd and 3rd pregnancies… Who knows.
Obviously, babies come when they want to come and not a second before that!
The funny news is that I’m chatting with the cute nurse who does all the stuff beforehand, I really like her, she’s hysterical. She was checking the computer and…
Toni: Wow, today’s your due date!
Me: Well, it was yesterday but yep!
Toni: No, we have today.
Me: I’m shrugging, whatever, crazy due dates…
Toni: Laughing to herself…. “Dr Fee was telling me that she didn’t have any more babies due this month, and I was thinking she was wrong!”
Me: Laughing too… “Yep, here I am! Although maybe she just knows I’m going to deliver in April! haha!”
Toni: STILL LAUGHING…. Yea, she went on vacation until Sunday though.
NO SO FUNNY ANYMORE! LOL – Ok, it’s a little funny. *sigh* FIGURES! Although this time around I’m not so crazy about having to have Dr Fee as the doctor. She was AWESOME last time for the last part of pushing, cutting the cord that was around Sam’s neck, and sewing me up… but I know all the Drs are probably wonderful. In fact, I know one of the Drs that is on call TODAY and have met her, and like her, so if I do happen to start labor today, she will be the one ‘managing’ my labor.
Plus, I knew we would have an oncall Dr this weekend and I kind of wanted to go Friday afternoon anyway. 🙂 I guess we shall see though.
I’m fine with waiting until April 1st (that would be funny – especially considering I found out I was preggo with Sam on April 1st three years ago!) although I know I will be antsy. I would really prefer to have Dr Fee deliver though. Next appointment is 9am on April 1st with Fee.
I still feel like we aren’t having a baby yet but I will feel that way up until the lights are turning on with everyone in the room watching me push. 🙂 And probably until the darn baby, ok GRIFFIN, is sitting on my tummy. haha – Queen of emotional denial, I guess.
Off to get more ready… Or do nothing. Or something. I dunno. Probably relax too.

Drew – I don’t know how I’m so calm 🙂 I guess I just want him to come when he is ready and not get into anything pitocen related!! I’m still waiting to hear YOUR birth story… It sounded a little crazy! As for what you win… Why, you win babysitting Sam and Griffin so I can take a nap!! hahahah 🙂 Just what you want with Brayden, huh?

Oh, and seriously…I got a call from one of the player (guess who) who asked that I call his work if I heard anything about Kristi delivering. I was like…awwww, how sweet until I realized it was Thursday. OMG.
Those boys have absolutely no shame. none!
I’ll wait to share my birth story with you until after you have Griffin 🙂 Don’t want to scare you. Let’s just say, preeclampsia (totally not spelling that right, but too lazy to look it up) and magnesium sulfate suck! I’m sure you’ll have a very easy and painless delivery 🙂 Just make sure to keep us updated via your iphone. I posted on my blackberry at like 2:30am after having Brayden and I reread it 5 times before posting to make sure I didn’t say something crazy in my drug induced state.
Ang – I know, aren’t those boys ridiculous? I have never seen such a bunch of freaked out boys scared they can’t play their game.
Drew – I don’t scare to easily but you will have to record it for posterity! PreE does suck, eww! 🙁
i can’t believe he’s already going to be here soon!! i feel like i just read your post saying you were pregnant…and then saying it was a boy!! =) can’t wait to see pix of your son when he gets here (and btw, april 1st is a GREAT day to be born – i decided to come out that day, too!! hehe)
Oooh, Angela – maybe he will be a Fools baby! 🙂 I bet some fun jokes have been played on you… not sure if that is a good thing or bad thing though! 🙂
