Eating Dinners….

I’ve been being pretty good about cooking this past month! Pretty boring on what we are making though. And it’s hard to make the boxed meals (like stuffing, potatoes, etc) when they are for 4 servings and we only need two…. So I’m trying to do half recipes and such and save the stuff.

For the cold bread in a can (you know those ones you ‘pop’ open?) when you save the dough in the fridge for a few days later, they just don’t cook the same! But we don’t eat 5 rolls… We eat 2, or 3. Anyway.

Basically we switch off on chicken dishes and raviolis, although I got lasagna last night and that was ok. I really want to grill some things but it needs to be fixed, or cleaned, or something. And I just don’t do that. I don’t light the grill that is Justin’s job.

I also don’t put air in my tires or pull out things from heavy boxes, that is his job too. LOL – There is a man in the house for a reason, that’s how my thinking goes! Heehee!

Anyway, I pretty much cook four times a week and then one night is always pizza. The other two nights we always seem to be eating at a parent’s house or going out to eat with friends or something. If we don’t do that, then we would have takeout. 🙂

I really think Islands, Macaroni Grill, and TGI Friday’s misses us though! LOL – It’s crazy, we haven’t eaten there in awhile! You know what I’m craving though… Don Jose’s.. YUM! That just popped into my head… Funny.

I hear you on the roll issue. Try these:

or these:

Or if you prefer rolls to biscuits, there’s these:

All of these are Pilsbury breads that you can just bake what you need and keep the rest, no need to pop open the can thingie and have icky bread after. Just depends on if you want frozen or refrigerated and biscuits or rolls.

I’ve been cooking more too, I’m so proud, hehehe 🙂

Oh and I don’t go near our grill either, lol – I don’t even like to cook on it. I don’t like fire, hahaha.

I will have to look at the last two links! Are they in the freezer aisle?

I’ve tried the first one and they are ok, I would want three though.. and then end up with four… I should just make two. I’m a HUGE portion eater, I can’t help myself. Then I just eat everything that is on my plate. haha!

Yah they are in the freezer aisle. It’s like a ziploc bag full of biscuits or rolls and you just take out what you want and that’s it. So if you want to make 3 you can.

Look I am actually reading a blog! :). You should make the best thing ever — Apricot Chicken! It is so easy — You put chicken breasts, Apricot Juice and one packet of French Onion Soup into the crock pot. Cook on low all day – the chicken is DELICIOUS! Serve with some frozen veggies and you are set. Talk to you soon!

Since you are on a cooking spree I thought I’d share one of my favorite chicken recipes since I managed to find it written out online:

http://www.recipegoldmine.com/wwchicken/chicken-red-wine-vinegar.html

This is the most flavorful chicken I’ve made. You use about 3 chicken breasts and halve them, so the portioning is pretty good and it is DELICIOUS. I usually eat it with brown rice and a veggie to keep it simple.
