Green Bean Casserole

Prep Time: 5 min. Cook Time: 35 min.

– 3/4 cup milk
– 1/8 tsp. pepper
– 10 3/4 oz can – Cream of Mushroom Soup (or one small can for idiots like me)
– 2 (14.5 oz) cans cut green beans, drained (the bigger sized cans – I prefer French Style)
– 1 1/3 cups French’s French Fried Onions – They say Cheddar, I just use Original

In 1 1/2-qt casserole, mix all ingredients except 2/3 cup French Fried Onions. Bake 30 min. at 350F or until hot; stir. Top with 2/3 cup onions. Bake 5 min or until onions are golden.

Serves 6.

This is so yummy. Both my Mom & MIL make this for Turkey dinners and I made it once for Thanksgiving 2007 and am making it today for a late Christmas gathering with friends. It’s my favorite!

I’m glad that my Mom told me to make it ‘less soupy’ by putting less milk and soup in. I put less than 2/3’s milk and about 3/4s the can of soup this time. The first time I made it I put in a little more and hopefully this time will be better. I also actually read the directions better today and stired in some of the onions into the green beans instead of just putting them all on top. Oh well. Last time it was yummy, this time it will just be that much better.

Can you get Sam to eat all this stuff you’re posting? I can’t get Aiden to eat much more than a few selected things for dinner. Grrr…. it drives me crazy.

Well. Kind of and not really. 🙂 She will eat anything that we shove in her mouth while she is playing with her Little People at the table. We pretend to feed them and then shove it in her mouth. She doesn’t eat a lot though.

It’s nice that she does eat meat and other things. She likes veggies but always spits them out (the not cooked ones, I mean) cause she can’t chew them.

It’s kind of a toss up. 🙂
