This was painful. Legit painful. She put in the IV and it hurt while it was in there. The saving grace was that I had two awesome conversations with the men in the room getting infusions with me. They were both on Remicade. They both had done a similar diet to mine, quit, and then were doing badly and in flares.
I keep repeating this to myself to REMIND myself to stick to my diet.
Tanget: I had French Fries today. Sigh. They were SO good. Zov’s in Tustin. Totally not a French Fry place but here we are.
I walked out of the office and immediately started crying. OUUUCHIIEEEE.
It really did hurt but I’m not sure what else I was crying about. I have to do injections after this. That is a little worrisome. There are other things going on that are sad. And also happy. And also hard.
But the conversations were so nice in the room and seriously distracted me. I had such a lift talking to them.
We went out the dinner for the four of us. The night before we moved Sam down to San Diego. That was two nights after my IV.
And I showed her my wrist and said, look at how bad it is? And she looked at it and then she flipped me off.
I was legit taken aback and almost cried. I think she felt a little bad. She was trying to be funny and it was not funny to me but I tried to smile. Sigh. Children. I also probably didn’t need to show her where my hurts were when she has so many other hurts. But also she was legit mean.
Anyway.
I took another picture of it yesterday and it is SO bruised. It doesn’t LOOK that bad but seriously, it is discolored. I hate my veins. I hate IVs.
I’m sad one of my kiddos is gone. But happy that she’s so happy.
