Happy Mother’s Day 2010

Happy Mother’s Day to the beautiful amazing Mother’s out there.

My Mother is one of the most amazing people. She is my role model in everything. She is kind, empathetic, and always there to listen to anything you want to talk about. She somehow always knows the exact right thing to say when you are having a hard day and she is never too busy for you.  For anyone, really.  She fits in a hundred things during her day, yet always manages to make you feel so important and just the one person she wanted to talk to.  My Mama is super thoughtful and always thinks about everyone else’s feelings, rather than her own. I hope she finds her joy today, and all future days, because she is the best and deserves the best! I love you Mama!

Not to be forgotten in any way, my Mother in Law and Step-Mom are pretty darn amazing.  My MIL is just the sweetest person I’ve ever met and so kind and giving. Cindy is also one of the best Mom’s I know, so patient and able to take everything in stride from work to children and everything else.

I’m also thinking about my wonderful Grandmother’s today, and all my kickass Mama friends, plus some people who I know WILL be wonderful Mother’s when it happens for them. Infertility sucks.

My Mother’s Day is pretty awesome just for the fact I get to hang out with my family today. Sadly, the whole house is sick, I’m not sure how that happened. I got to sleep in today and the awesome husband got up with Griffin at 5:30 am when he woke up for the final time. I say final because he was up almost every hour because he couldn’t breathe. 🙁 PLUS he was up at 4am the previous morning, where I slept in AGAIN and then slept for three more hours in the morning.

I got some of the cutest Mother’s Day cards from my family, attempted to put Griffin to sleep in a car ride (didn’t work), took a nice long shower and shaved my legs (it had been a week!), and then sent my amazing husband off to bed.  He needed it!

I’m now watching some kind of Star Wars cartoon movie that husband had put on and Griffin is fascinated by. He is burning up and sucking down some juice and we are just chilling on the couch.  Later we have a big to-do to go go for my aunt’s 50’th party which hopefully after some good naps everyone will feel good enough to party a little.

It does feel a little weird to be sitting on the couch with my baby, typing on my (Mom’s) laptop that I’m still borrowing for work.Weird but relaxing, so it’s nice.  I’m told that my work laptop will finally be ordered soon so that is pretty exciting. I’m also getting two monitors which I’ve never had so I’m geekily excited by it. 🙂

Hope everyone is having a great day. 🙂 Oh, and check my new WordPress Plugin below called Sexy Bookmarks. I’m in love with it! I saw it first on Jessica Gottlieb’s blog and I had to figure out what it was and download it.  I don’t really need it for THIS website but it will come in handy on some friends that I manage and the new blog I’m setting up for work! It IS sexy, don’t you agree? If I’m helping you with your website, be sure to tell me you want it. haha

Kristi what a sweet post! And everything you said about your mom is so true! I still remember how kind she was to me in elementary school, always making bread in the bread machine. Happy Mothers Day to you!!!
