Book Review: Seduced at Midnight

by Kristi on January 22, 2009

Seduced at Midnight by Jacquie D’Alessandro is a fun but intriguing murder mystery with one of members of the Ladies Literary Society in the staring role.  This is the 3rd book in the “Mayhem in Mayfair” series and features Lady Julianne, the daughter of an Earl, and Gideon Mayne, a Bow Street Runner as the main characters.  There is a ghost murderer on the loose and it’s Gideon’s job to find him.

While you know they are destined for each other, getting there is half the fun! With Julianne faking ghostly sounds to get Gideon hired to protect her but the the real murderer shows up, there is never a dull moment.  This is not my favorite book from Jacquie D’Alessandro, that would possibly be Not Quite a Gentleman.   This was done very well though and was good to the very end. The first two in the series were also pretty good, I would recommend you read those first, of course!
