Yorba Linda Fire

Just wanted to update everyone here. We are ok, we ran from the house when we saw the flames in the neighbors yard. No firefighters on our street to warn us… we just saw flames and grabbed the animals and G and left. We weren’t able to find Callie but when I backed the car out and saw our neighbors backyard on fire with FLAMES less then… i don’t know, two street widths away – I ran screaming into the house for Justin to GET OUT.

Not less than 10 minutes earlier I was chatting to him saying – Oh I would grab my computer, my jewerly box, and our photo albums!

Um no. I guess that nice thought was if we had someone knocking on our door to evacuate. Not, OMG there are flames next to us, get the hell out of the house now.

I’m updating my twitter account – I can from my phone. Although my phone is running out of batteries, I need to hunt down a charger. And to go Target. For… oh… diapers for G (i only have 1 with me), jammies, contact case (i don’t have my glasses!), I don’t have any of my meds… UGH,

anyway. Gotta go do that stuff. We are up in Orange and MIL and Truck are packed, just in case. I kinda didn’t want to leave in case something happened. I will probably take G with me. Since his only source of food is my BOOBS. haha

I’m updating my Twitter feed – please follow it, or join and chat or whatever…

Hope everyone stays safe. The news channel I was watching downstairs… they were on the bridge over the riverbed on Yorba Linda Blvd – inbetween the Honda Dealership and Savi Ranch. Well that was burning. The palm trees were on fire. It was an inferno…

It was scary! I feel a little surreal now. If our house burns down, it doesn’t matter, we can replace it. Luckily we got everyone out and we were all together.

Thanks for all the well wishes. It’s scary to just run out of your home. I feel like the FireFighters and Red Cross and other places will be on my donation list this year and forever. What a feeling.

Love ya all

Oh Kristi! I was thinking about you guys and praying that your home is okay. Stacey lives right by the complex that burned down she had to evacuate and my parents are getting ready as well. We were just at Toyon park this morning and it seemed to have just spread so fast! You guys are in my thoughts and prayers and yes of course it’s just a house, but it still sucks and is scary! xo

I’m glad to hear you guys are all out safe. I’ll be looking for updates on the internet. Thank goodness for Targets to help us with diaper essentials 🙂
