Early Labor

OMG, last night I really thought it might be it. I went upstairs, laid down, and I realized my back was hurting soooo bad. It was just like menstrual cramps and centered in my back. Then I get some waves of pains in my front tummy with more cramps in my back. Nothing was timable though and I also couldn’t sleep. I had that feeling of wanting to get up and pace and stretch my back out.

It could have just been cause I was THINKING something should BE happening not that something fantastic was going on. hehe But then I would think that and feel my back pains and know that it was not my imagination!

I was also starting to wonder where in the heck that ‘Easy’ button was that would transport me directly to the hospital and put a swaddled baby in my lap.

Whew.

So, anyway the pains and cramps and waves of weird non-timeable contractions stayed around for about two or three hours. After having the TV on and then once J came up, I just told him to turn it off and I would go downstairs if I needed to. I put a pillow over my head and just kept breathing. After another hour I feel asleep so they went away! I woke up a few more times during the night. We both woke up at 530 am and I never went back to sleep. So that was a fantastic stretch of sleep I got there.

Sam got up early, 640 she was asking for me. I kept thinking I was going to get up anyway since I was just laying there but she made it easy for me. She is now parked on the couch watching 101 Dalmatians (she adores that movie!) and I’m sitting here sipping on OJ. My nose is worse but it’s been worse in the mornings the past week so hopefully it will continue to keep going away and leave me alone!

A few contractions this morning but the back pain is not that bad.

Fun fun fun
