My President (of the company I work for, not the US!) invited everyone up to the stage to take a photo with him. People told me “Come up, Kristi! Someone else is taking it, I’m sure!”
Seriously? No he did not organize a photo to be taken! Sheesh! Yes, we had our videographer roaming around and he COULD take a photo as well… but that would take us so long to get access to them. So I hopped up on a chair and took the photo.
Which was used in all of our social and internal comms. So, I was patting myself on the back for just doing it and getting what I wanted.
Even if I couldn’t join in on the fun.
But I did feel better when Brian told me he got a photo of me taking the photo. So meta. But it made me feel good. He’s so nicely validating, haha.
Also, it made me feel good that I didn’t fall. That was a close one. And even if I nagged a bunch of people to move out of my way, I forgot to move the chair on the left.
Oh well. It’s more authentic this way.
Final photo… (hopefully the videographer got a better one!)
