First Hair Cut

This shows Sam’s hair off. How it was hanging down to her NOSE in little bits and pieces. She has horrible wispy hair, given to her my ME… and passed down from my Mom. Wispy hair is the worst. It always sticks up, tries to attack people when you get to close… People end up EATING it sometimes. (Usually when they lean in for a kiss 🙂 Ewww. Bleah. Anyway. Poor girl.

So we headed down to Newport to pick u J’s car. Sam now says ‘BeeBee’ for Big Bird. She says the same thing for belly button though but at least we are getting somewhere. 🙂 After that we parked somewhere and walked around to find ‘First Cut’. It was a cute place, said appointments were recommended but they saw us immediately.

Sam quickly realized that we would be putting her down in one of the seats and became an octopus. It’s amazing how she can cling. 🙂 So we sat down with her on our lap. The lady asked us what we wanted to do and I said, we wanted her bangs cut. She combed a bunch of Sam’s hair up and had Justin hold it and cut her little bangs. 🙂

We saved them. I don’t know why. I’m not a scrapbook person and I have no idea what I will do with this poor little scrap of hair but I think I have one of those safekeeper boxes for it. I suppose it’s a good DNA sample if we ever need it. 🙂 hahaha

So from the picture above after she cut her bangs she put the rest of the hair up into a ponytail. I couldn’t figure out why she was doing that and it was in so quick before I could ask questions. Sam’s hair naturally parts in the back back back of her scalp and ALL of her hair falls down. So, great, her bangs might be cut but the rest of the hair falls down and will still be in her eyes.

So I started making trouble. The lady made some good points about baby hair and growing it, and having her hair up to show off her bangs, blah blah… I asked her to take it down so we could see and she did but she had thrown product in her hair it was swept over and still looked good. We finally decided it was ok…

But seriously, I am soo not a hair person. I have barely manged to put her hair up in a sprout everyday which she pulls out the rubber band 2 to 3 hours later. I think everyone can look at MY daily hair style and agree I’m not a hair person. So this is a classic case of a good hairdresser doing something fantastic with your hair that you can’t possibly duplicate ever.

Gah! 🙂 I’m sure we will figure it out though. If we cut the other hairs then we would have to cut everything and it would have made it short and that wouldn’t be good. I think I have to get some pomade and work with it. I guess. Maybe. 🙂

Here is a good picture that shows off the new ‘do.

After that we rode the carosel (which she screamed at but loved when she was getting off), rode the train, had lunch at Red Robin… Drove home, she fell asleep… and then we went on a few errands in the afternoon. She loves running around stores. 🙂 You can’t get shopping down (with one person in tow) but she loves it! Luckily there were two of us so we did get shopping done. Then had dinner…

Now Papa and Sammie are off at the park. Sammie loves her park time with Papa at night. So do I! 🙂
