Today we hung around the house, Sammie took an extra long nap (shhhh), and then we got ready to go out! We headed over to Peralta Park and wandered around. It was so cute. They had music playing, tons of booths, and lots of fun bounce houses and slides and things. Sammie played around for a bit and then we walked back to the street to see the parade. We watched about an hour. She loved it. Towards the end she really got the hang of waving to people too. She would wave and wave and people would say ‘Hi Cutie!’. We then wandered back and got some food and shaved ice (yum!). Ran around the park for a bit.
I think we were all a little tired though so we went to Sharon’s house and helped them set up for their party. Made some hot dogs (which Sam LOVES), corn, and coleslaw and then ran around a bit more. We headed home at 8pm, gave Sam a bath, which she needed… and she went to bed! I’m thinking of doing that exact same thing right now… I’m exhausted and I think I have some type of sun headache. 🙂
I’m not to disappointed about missing the firewords. The dogs get anxious every night when they hear the Disneyland ones and I think those, times 10, would completely frighten them. They have already torn up our carpet clawing at our bedroom door in the past few weeks. So it’s best that we hang out with them.
Hope everyone’s snuggled up right now watching the fireworks and having a great time! There is a special on that shows them in about 10 mins so I’m headed up to bed!
