Tearjerker

Well, Grey’s didn’t disappoint this evening.

I was thinking it might with the whole drowning/death experience thing that I was expecting… but it didn’t. It was pure awesomeness. I started crying when Alex took his two pictures of the wounded to the waiting family member. In one hand, he had the one he saved…. and it was horrible listening to him try and convince himself and the poor husband that this was his wife. Pry out the details of the hair… and then, only then, mention the eye color… which doesn’t match… at which point he is forced to pass over the picture of the ‘fatality’. How awful. So incredibly sad. Listening to the poor man sob, with hundreds of other family members who don’t know where their family is at. Just imagining if you were forced to have your hopes up to believe your family member is still alive while looking at a picture trying to believe that it’s them…

And Christina trying to explain to Burke that Mer is ‘her person’. Everyone has a person (or two, or three). Apparently, Burke doesn’t get it. And that’s just sad. Cause you would think everyone gets that. But he doesn’t. And it’s so hard to imagine Christina with any type of emotion at all, but you see it there. Somewhere.

And then it just gets worse. Really. You need to watch it (Krysta!).

The Mom finding her little blonde girl and apologizing to her that she was sorry Mommy lost her. “Mommy’s so sorry she lost you!” Those were like the perfect words to speak after watching this silent (freaky, kinda) but silent girl wander around. Perfect Mommy guilt. Blah.

Oh… AND… and… the whole incredibly horrible last five minutes of watching Derek be tramatized watching Mer. And everyone kicking him out. With Addy looking at him horrified through the glass doors, as she tries to save his girlfriend.

At the same time you have Izza telling George that she thinks he made a mistake with his marriage. Knowing that it’s a horrible time to say that, but saying it anyway. Which was so horrifying in itself! Having your best friend tell you they think you made a horrible mistake. Ugh.

I keep refreshing Grey’s Writers to see when the new blog post will be up. Boo. It’s not up yet.

We shall see what next week will bring as Denny and the bomb guy were sitting in with Meredith telling her she is dead in the OR. Kinda silly… but this show just hits on all the best/worst emotions. It’s doesn’t even MATTER is it’s unbelievable. It usually is. But its SO GREAT!
