Overcast Oregon

Sammie and I arrived in Oregon yesterday.

The plane flight was good. She was really cranky in the morning for some reason though. Not sure why. Justin was around in the morning and that was a little different than the weekly norm, so that may have been it, who knows. So I was a little worried about the plane. I got two seats so that was really nice. I had her in the middle until she started patting the nice lady next to her so then I smarted up and put her next to the window. haha – After awhile the lady finally realized that the row behind us was completely empty and moved, whew.

The plane was also FULL of kids so that is funny. Once you have kids you are automatically in the ‘Parent Club’. It’s similar to the Corvette club. What is the Corvette Club? You can read about it here, and here. Whenever you run into a parent with a similar aged child, you get to stop and ask all about their kid; how old, their exact birthdate, how many teeth, when they started walking, etc. etc. etc. It’s like a compulsion. It’s also probably because your kid LOVES looking at other kids and it’s a nice respite from the whining you get when trying to keep them entertained on a 2 1/2 plane flight.

I finally got her down for a nap the second time I nursed her. She was tired, I could tell. It was the last 10 minutes of the flight though so she slept through the landing, slept through the passengers getting off. She even slept through me gathering all my bags, somehow dragging them off the plane, and even putting her in the STROLLER! I was shocked. Then she slept the whole car ride home.

Anyway, Sammie has been having a great time with the kids. She is fascinated by them and keeps waving and laughing. To cute!
