I’m also adding this as a link from our personal site of www.JustinAndKristi.com – I have kept a pregnancy journal and then an update of sorts regarding Samantha for the past year. I started this blog for a few reasons… it’s easy to publish updates, I always have a few people email me after I update with comments (now you can comment on the blog!), and I’ve always wanted to start a blog… I just love to babble (obviously, read my birth story, sheesh!) and thought I would make it official. I’ve been duplicating my posts for the past two months to see if I would attempt to keep this updated and I have. Kind of. So here we are. Drop me a comment and say hi!
In my last post that I started after Sam’s 6 month doc appointment (June 8th) I was about to ramble on and on about naps. She wasn’t taking them. I think she got used to us running around for things and found out if she cried hard enough for five minutes I would come in thinking she didn’t want a nap. She really didn’t want one… but she needed one so we went through nap boot camp again. Yea! Not. I think we have it down now. Instead of three naps she is only taking two now. I think I have also found the magic key to getting her down for a TWO hour nap intead of a 40 min nap. Yes!! Instead of putting her down an hour after she wakes up, I keep her up for two hours and she is really sleepy and goes for two hours. It works sometimes. I’m still testing it out.
Work is great as well when the naps work out. I love the two hour naps for this reason! I miss my computer!
Swimming. We’ve been having so much fun swimming lately. She loves to swim, check out the link to the photos below. I would like to post some actual photos on these pages too, it’s simply easier to pos the link to Kodak. 🙂 She also loves to go shopping. Usually she only can last about an hour after getting antsy as she definitely doesn’t like to sit around!
It’s amazing all the mom’s and babies you see shopping. Everyone is so friendly. We all stop and chat about our babies. It’s cute. I’ve met some nice people around the area. Sam loves looking around at everyone while we cruise. Good way to get exercise too!
