Disneyland for Sam’s Bday

by Kristi on December 12, 2008

We went to Disneyland on Wednesday. We were going to go on Tuesday on Sam’s bday but luckily… LUCKILY, J checked the website and we found out it closed at 6pm.  That would have been fun.  NOT! 🙂

So we went the next day instead.  It was really classic, he came home at 4pm and they were both still sleeping. G, on me.. Sadly. Anyway, I had to separate him from his favorite spot and when I did, he woke up. Humph.  But we waltzed in to Sammie’s room and tried to wake her. Didn’t really work, until I threw the blanket under us and pretended we were in a tent and she started giggling.  We kept talking about this magical ‘surprise’ and then we asked her, what is your FAVORITE place in the world?

She didn’t know.  We asked, are you sure? Where is your MOST FAVORITE place to go?

She looked at us… “Disneyland?” HOOOORAY! That’s where we are GOING!  Then she threw up her arms and danced. 🙂 SRSLY cute!

We went… had a fast dinner at Rainforest Cafe on their heated balcony. RAN.. yes RAN to Disneyland (rolls eyes at the hubby who didn’t even BOTHER to look back to make sure his wife was following him!), only to wait in a huge line to get in. Sheesh. Luckily it went fast.

We saw the Christmas parade, which in my opinion, was pretty ‘eh’.  It would have been much better if they at least changed some of the music around.  We had to hear that song over and over again!  You know, I like that Electrical Music parade song. Or that other song for the parade during the day that I’ve seen a handful of times. I don’t even know the words, I just know it’s much more catchy than this song.

Although, I probably would have enjoyed it more if G would have stopped screaming and beating on me.  That child.  Maybe he’s teething? I had to leave our place and make for the Baby Center to go nurse him. Of course, it didn’t work and I got stuck in the worst tangle of people I have ever seen in my life. *shudders* Ugh.  Christmastime at Disneyland holding a screaming baby.  Joy to the World! 🙂

Anyway, it was ok.  G finally stopped screaming but the whining still went on for awhile. Until he passed out.  Sam loved the parade, loved seeing Sleeping Beauty’s castle light up at night, and then we picked out an ornament for our tree. And went home.

Because to prolong the misery would have been just a Bad Idea.

Needless to say, I cancelled on Krysta’s idea to go to Disneyland on Friday. Just us… and the four kids. hahahaha – Maybe we will think about it in January.
