Girl Scout Bulletin Board Photos

We have a Girl Scout board up in our school and since we went from 3 troops last year to 5 troops this year, we had to get a 2nd bulletin board. I just got word last week that we could finally put our pictures up!

One of our fantastic Mom’s donated a Girl Scout scrapbook that had some awesome papers, stickers, and fun little dohickeys that I went to town with. I thought they were going to end up a little silly but I am very impressed with myself!

The first one has a lot of white space and I tried to make sure every single photo included every girl. It’s actually funny, there are two photos of the girls doing a craft and the only one not in it was Sam because she was feeling sick. But since I am her Mom, I’m totally okay with her not being in it because we didn’t have any other group shots!

I added in pictures of our Troop Rules & Fun Stuff with our Troop numer in the top left. I put all sorts of fun Girl Scout sayings on here but tried to keep it really clean and nice.

For the second paper, I went totally crazy!

I went with a super busy background that says ‘Change Your World’ and tried to put all the service activities we did on the top like making blankets for kittens, working with the kittens at PetSmart to socialize them, helping serve food at our camp breakfast (which is not really a service project but it was them serving people – so I felt it counted!).

The bottom pictures were fun things we have done so far like camping, a dance party, and swim party. I then applied all sorts of fun stickers that go with our Daisy petals like ‘Responsible’, Helpful, Caring, Courageous, Strong, Leadership…. and I put them in fun places that matched up with the pictures.

See how I put courageous next to a girl climbing a tree? Yes, I am proud of how I applied that sticker! Ha!

It’s done and I’m sending it to school to have my co-leader laminate it. It’s a little flimsy. Or she may just put up on the bulletin board. I am excited to see it. 🙂

I’m so thankful this year for the chance to lead these Girl Scout Daisy girls! I was nervous at first but it’s so much fun and taught me a lot.

I am really enjoying reading your daisy adventures. I just got an email from my local council asking me to lead a daisy troop for the rest of the year and I said I would. I am super nervous about it. I have to try and learn everything about Daisies really fast and then spend the summer learning about Brownies.

You will be great! Just have fun with it! Get a lot of parents to help and it will be a breeze.
